Her skrev hun digte i sin første poesibog.
Anne Linnet ‘Barndommens Gade’ digt af Tove Ditlevsen fra 1942

Portrait of Tove Ditlevsen 🌺 on the gable with a direct view of Tove’s childhood home – on the 4th floor Hedebygade 30a in the backyard, where Tove sat on the bedroom window sill in the light of the evening star, and wrote poems to the man in the moon. Here she grew up with her older brother Edvin and played in the backyard with her childhood friend Ruth. Here she wrote poems in her first book of poetry. Like the poem about the butterfly and the apple blossom: “A little butterfly flew”.
Tove Ditlevsen (1917-1976) one of Denmark’s most significant, beloved and widely read authors and poets. A huge thank you to Gårdlauget Hedebygade/Rejsbygade, who invited me to paint this gable painting. It has been a huge experience. A special thank you to Finn Gravesen for contact and for fantastic hosting! 🩷🙏
